OSHA’s
research shows that nearly 2 million American workers each year report having
been victims of workplace violence. A panel of experts will discuss how to
manage situations where a workplace violence situation arises. Topics include
employers’ obligations under OSHA; negligent hire/retention claims and public
relations concerns. Prevention methods will also be discussed including
stronger employer policies, assessing the workplace, safety planning – employee
GPS, establishing identification badges, electronic keys, and security guards,
to minimize non-employee access.
